Spiral Jetty is an sculpture made entirely out of natural materials. This creation is massive in scale and was created by famous artist Robert Smithson. Kidzu has studied Robert Smithton’s work during the Makery Masterpiece program and we have recreated our own sculptures during different programs. Here at the Makery we love appreciating artists in a variety of mediums. This photo is from our Makery Masterpiece program on Nam Jun Paik. Nam Jun Paik was a Korean American artist from South Korea who incorportated electronics into his art. He is well known for his use of video art. If you like learning about different artists, come into Kidzu’s Makery Masterpiece program. 

It’s getting close to summer time and Kidzu is preparing for their summer camp programs. We have many amazing summer camp programs and one that has caught everyones attention is Tiny Tinkerers. This summer camp is from June 27th to July 1st and it is for ages 3-5.

It’s getting close to summer time and Kidzu is preparing for their summer camp programs. We have many amazing summer camp programs and one that has caught everyones attention is Creepy Crawlers. This summer camp is from June 20th to June 24th and it is for ages 3-5.   

You’re about to be bugged!  This Creepy Crawler’s Camp is all about bugs, nighttime adventures and the teeny tiny world of insects.  Campers create bug habitats, design mazes and participate in creepy crawler races while learning about bug characteristics.  Join Kidzu for our buggy camp—filled with insect art, mini-worlds and creative fun!

Don’t forget! Kidzu’s birthday party is tomorrow on Sunday from 1 to 5pm!

Here at Kidzu we like to look back on some of the amazing events we have hosted in the Makery. This week we are looking back to the hieroglyphs week in Messy Mornings.
