Triangular! Photographic Scavenger Hunt throughout Downtown

Come enjoy Triangular and see downtown in a fresh way! Triangular is a photographic scavenger hunt throughout downtown Chapel Hill. On Saturday the 10th grab your friends, grab your cell phones, and get ready! You can pick up your clues at 11am at FRANK on Franklin Street. All you need to participate is a phone and access to an Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook. At the end of the day all of the photos will be compiled and displayed online. 

The Makery will be celebrating Triangular by making triangle shaped tools to help you view downtown in a new perspective. Come create your triangle tools and then tour downtown during the Triangular scavenger hunt!

2015 Young Children’s Art Exhibit

Come down to Kidzu to admire the new art gallery! The ArtsCenter FrameMakers has sponsored a new children’s art exhibit which is now featured right outside Kidzu’s doors. There are 15 pieces currently featured in the exhibit and they are made by children ranging from age 6 months to 6 years. After looking at the featured art, come inside Kidzu and make your own creation in the Makery!

TRICK OR CLICK: Halloween Photography at Kidzu Children’s Museum

Kidzu Children’s Museum is proud to participate in the CLICK Triangle Photography Festival. Join local FRANK Photographer Barbara Tyroler over Halloween weekend to have Spook-tacular portraits and candids taken of children (and families) in costume at the museum.  Photography is FREE and photographs can be purchased for keepsakes or use as creative holiday cards.

This week in the Makery we had a lot of amazing inventors create new unique structures. One person made their own house! They designed the structure of the house at the design depot  and worked with one of our Makery fellows to help bring their imagination to life. Our first featured family!

Shalah and her family are our Makery Featured Family!  They visit our Makery on a weekly basis.  This is Shalah with her newest creation.  They have donated over 600 sheets of construction paper for the families of our community to share and create something new.  We love to see such wonderful folks contributing to our community’s number one makerspace for children.
