American Dance Festival: Dancing Stories with Jody Cassell & Jude Casseday

Kidzu will be hosting a special workshop on June 29th. We will be partnering with the American Dance Festival to celebrate dancing stories with Jody Cassell & Jude Casseday. Through sounds, rhythms and creative movements children join in making stories come alive. These adventures are originals and/or folk stories created from real life experiences found in the newspaper. Ages PreK to 5th grade will enjoy all aspects of these literary tales. Parents Night Out!

The Next Parents’ Night Out is Friday, June 24 6:30-9:30pm:

Kids will enjoy a fun-filled night including exhibit play & exploration, a movie, and dinner from Alfredo’s Pizza Villa — one of our University Place restaurants. This is a drop-off event for children ages 3-9 (must be potty-trained). Kids will exercise their minds, bodies, imagination and independence. Mark your calendars now for these 2016 PNO’s from 6:30-9:30pm: 7/8, 7/22, 8/12, 8/26. Cost: $25 for the first child and $15 each additional child in the same household. American Dance Festival: Creative Movement with Gaspard Louis & Osei Appiagyei

Kidzu will be hosting a special workshop on June 22nd. We will be partnering with the American Dance Festival to celebrate creative movement with Gaspard Louis & Osei Appiagyei. In this workshop, young students will explore basic elements of dance and choreography such as shape, rhythm, gesture and tempo. Makery Masterpiece with Damien Hirst

Butterflies are fluttering into the Makery this week! Join us as we design and create our own Makery Masterpiece at 10 am using symmetry found in butterflies’ wings and explore the work of British artist, Damien Hirst. Later, get STEAM’D UP from 2-5 pm and explore the life cycle of butterflies in the Makery. You will be able to tell the story of a butterfly’s life with your very own take home booklet!
